Patur Leads WPT LA Poker Classic as Tournament Heats Up
The WPT LA Poker Classic is one of the more exciting poker tournaments you can find, where the prize is as high as $1 million. On the third day of the tournament, 104 players sat down and brought their A game with them. Only 39 players survived.
The top prize has a value of almost $1 million, and Balakrishna Patur is leading the rankings to bring home the money. But as most gambling reviews will describe poker games, things can happen very quickly. In a span of five levels that day, the number of player spiraled from 104 to 39.

We’re seeing some big names in the tournament, but even the good ones have bowed out of the series. Barry Greenstein is 61st at $16,905. Toby Lewis, former LAPC Champion is 52nd at $18,845, while Bryan Piccioli is 49th at $20,067. Chance Kornuth was also out at 43rd with $21,290.
But familiar names such as former WPT Champion Dylan Linde winning the $10,000 entry WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic Main event for $1.6 million. Balakrishna Patur holds the top in the chip lead at 2,289,000 in chips. This is a big lead compared to second placed Shi Chen at 1.6 million chips. Of course, poker stars like former WPT Champion Kevin Eyster is still in at 1,131,000, WPTDeepStacks former Champion Upeshka De Silva 1,002,00 and Matt Giannetti at 820,000.
All of the players left have a guaranteed prize of $24,375. A lot of poker players would love to win even a fraction of that.
