Current Direction of Fantasy Sports Leagues

As you know, fantasy sports events cannot happen if there are no real games to get data on. And with the Coronavirus causing the sports world to a standstill, much of what you will read on fantasy sports news will tell you that, for now, there will also be a hold on your favorite fantasy sports betting events. To keep track of things, we’re taking a look at the various fantasy sports leagues and their status.
There are a lot of fantasy sports providers that are all adjusting their lines and offerings. But, just like any sportsbook pay per head provider, everyone in the sports betting industry is already preparing for the return of the sports leagues in the next few weeks.
Fantasy Sports Leagues Status
Yahoo sports has Yahoo! Fantasy, which is the long-reigning top fantasy sports sites in the world. You may no longer be using their search engine. Their email service may be “old-school”. But, their fantasy sports is still as popular as ever.
While the Covid-19 coronavirus is causing leagues to shuffle their schedule, the seasons remain ongoing. Meaning, games are postponed, schedules will be adjusted, but the season will still continue. So, any fantasy sport league, pro or private, will not be final until these leagues will announce their final plans for the year.
Fantasy Basketball and Hockey are both waiting for the league officials to announce the resumption of the games. For fantasy Baseball, the season will be adjusted to reflect the changes. The new schedule of the MLB: the start date is now set at 6 weeks from now.
Fantasy football is not a problem, since, thankfully, they are on break and preparing for the upcoming season. Since most leagues are constantly updating everyone on their plans, we’ll soon find out what to expect on sports betting events for the year.
