NFL Week 3 Betting Tips
Week 3 of the NFL Season Shows Promise
Two weeks into the 2020 NFL season and already we’ve started to see the surprises. The Cardinals are 2-0 while the Eagles are 0-2. Russell Wilson has nine touchdown passes and the Green Bay Packers are averaging 42.5 points per game.

Week 3 should be another beauty, especially since we get a Monday night treat as Kansas City travels to Baltimore. A battle of the past two NFL MVPs heads the list of action in Week 3.
MIAMI @ JACKSONVILLE
The week gets underway on Thursday as in-state rivals MIami and Jacksonville meet for just the tenth time in NFL history.
The Dolphins have been awful in September and just as bad on the road recently. In their last seven September games, Miami is 0-7 straight up and just 1-6 ATS. The Dolphins are also 3-17 SU on the road and 7-13 ATS in those games.
The Jags are a 2.5-point home favorite at most online sportsbooks heading into this one and, despite their recent woes, have been pretty good in Thursday night games, especially ones at home.
In their last four home Thursday night games, Jacksonville is unbeaten and they covered the spread in all four. That includes a huge 20-7 win over Tennessee last year. Take the Jags at home. Jacksonville -2.5
CHICAGO @ ATLANTA
If you are betting on the Bears, stay away from them when they are on the road away from Soldier Field. Yes, Chicago is off to a 2-0 start and the Falcons are 0-2, but don’t let that fool you.
Since last October, the Bears are 1-6 ATS on the road and have left those looking for football betting picks scratching their heads. The Bears won the last time they traveled to Atlanta, but that was back in 2014.
The Falcons were supposed to be one of the big surprises this season. Atlanta has averaged 32.5 points per game in their two losses, which tells you something about their defense.
Atlanta is actually 5-1 ATS in their last six games. That includes last week’s debacle in Dallas when the Falcons blew a 39-24 fourth quarter lead. Atlanta lost 40-39 but covered the 4.5-point spread. They’ll cover again in Week 3 as 3-point favorites. Atlanta -3
KANSAS CITY @ BALTIMORE
The Ravens at home are tough to beat and could be the team to beat in the 2020 season. It’s even tougher to win in Baltimore in prime time. Since the 2011 season, the Ravens are unbeaten in twelve prime time home games. They are also a respectable 8-4 ATS in those 12 games.
Baltimore is 5-1 ATS in their last six home games and they’ve covered in 11 of their last 12 regular season games.

The Chiefs are equally impressive. Kansas City has won 11 straight games dating back to last season. In those 11 games, the Chiefs are 10-1 ATS.
Kansas City is not an underdog often, especially with Patrick Mahomes (51-of-79, 513 yards, 5 TDs) at quarterback. Bettors have done well backing the Chiefs with Mahomes under center.
In the six games where Mahomes and the Chiefs have been underdogs, Kansas City is 5-0-1 ATS. That includes a perfect 2-0 record against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.
Baltimore does have the NFL’s best defense (11.0 points per game allowed) and if Mahomes is beatable, it’s in night games. He’s just 4-4 SU and 4-3-1 ATS in his past eight at night.
The Chiefs struggled last week in beating the Chargers. That gives the Ravens defense an advantage and enough to cover at home. Baltimore -3
