Sportsbook Sponsors Gets Approval from the NFL

The NFL approved sportsbook sponsors, which potentially will lead to sports betting in stadiums. At present, betting on sports in on-site lounges and betting terminals is unallowed. However, some reports stated betting rooms in some stadiums may appear in the next NFL season.

Stadium operators can place betting lounges in states where sports betting is legal. At present, there are 14 states with legalized sports wagering. Qualified teams can sign a deal with sportsbook sponsors and have their branding appear within the stadium. However, signs can’t be in the lower level of the stadium. Also, the signs must have the word sponsor in them.

The NFL already allows casino sponsors. However, sports betting is not part of the deal. Seven states, which have NFL teams, have legal sportsbooks or likely to launch sports betting in 2020. They are Colorado, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Washington, Tennessee, New Jersey, and Illinois.

Sportsbook Sponsors in the NFL

The NFL told Gaming911 News that they are excited about the development of sports betting in the US. Also, the league is now more open to gambling than before. In January 2019, it signed its first casino sponsorship deal with Caesars Entertainment. Furthermore, individual teams have casino sponsorships.

Teams can sell their stadium naming rights to gambling companies. However, the NFL’s casino deals didn’t allow casinos and gambling operators to promote their sportsbooks. According to sources, the Caesars Entertainment deal was worth $30 million.

Caesars Entertainment has exclusive rights for the NFL trademarks in the US and UK. Also, the league will promote the company’s brand at league events, including the NFL Draft and Super Bowl.

By allowing sportsbook sponsors, the NFL is betting in the continued popularity of sports betting in the US. Many people are learning how to become a bookie today. They hope to get their share of the sports betting pie by starting a bookie business.
